Pours a black color with a tan, nitro head. Aroma is sweet chocolate, menthol, and cocoa butter. Slick nitro body gives way to a semi-sweet chocolate body, with a touch of finishing bitterness. A standard.

Draught can. Pours like an shimmering mass of liquid ebony capped off by a perfect tan head. The smell is heavy on the Wonka with a fleeting trace of Willy to balance. Taste is initially Just Another Stout until the cocoa puffs kick in to offset the coffee and malt. Finish is slightly bitter and lingering. Velvety on the tongue and only gets better as the glass warms. Outfrickin’ standing, but even better on tap

I need more hops! The balance is way off to me. Way too sweet. Very cloying. I’ve had chocolate stouts that I like very much but not this one. Yuk!

Pours pitch black with a tan head that all but disappears. Smells like a bar of dark chocolate, taste is well-rounded with a lovely lingering chocolate. Smooth mouthfeel, goes down pretty easy, a nice overall effect.

Amazing how different this tastes to Youngs original, a lovely chocolate stout and is even sold in a Gordon Ramsay pub! Sadly I try to avoid chocolate/coffee flavoured stouts.

this a nice smooth beer, its bitter but not over powering in the taste, its silky and has a touch of orange like quality. great for the winter.

Black, with somehow a deep purple shine. Dark-greige head, huge but collapsing. Nose gives chocolate, chocolate malt, tobacco, leather, chocolate cake. Taste is essentialy bitter chocolate, roasted malt (which conveys a point of acidity), tobacco of a nicer kind. Unbelievably thin mouthfeel at first, but fills in gradually, as if one would pour cold molten chocolate in water. Long bitter aftertaste, more maltey than chocolatey.
