Deep black with a good sized tan head that lingers. Chocolate and coffe aromas. Taste is of a dark chocolate bar with subtle coffee notes. Delicios with iced cream, chocolate cake or any dessert for that manner.

500ml Bottle. Black, nice puffy brown head. Nose is sweet cocoa, caramel malt, milkiness, very dark butterscotch. Flavor is cocoa & milk, a subtle but present burnt note, some dark fruits way in the back. Mostly though this is glorious chocolate. Not overly sweet like Chokolat (obviously a completely different style, but...) A bit of hop tingle in the finish. Wonderful creamy body is especially impressive given that this is a bottle and not a nitro can.

Poured Almost black with just a bit of red. A good solid head that tapered to a thin film that lasted throughout. Chocolate dominates the aroma, in fact there really isn’t anything else to speak of. Chocolate also dominates the taste, but more of a dark chocolate - not too sweet. Also tasted a charred maltiness finishing with a slightly better aftertaste that results in a well-balanced beer. Not as full-bodied as I expected, but very drinkable and worth having another.

Bottle at home ... with off white loose foam head ... bit fizzy ... some solid roast malts ... very chocolaty some sweetness but a bitter linger ... its quite a mily chocolate, despite it being dark chocolate essence added. But very smooth and easy drinking

This beer is true to the style it’s going for, but it’s not so much my thing. I’m not super into English stouts, nor am I into chocolate stouts. Great aromas of nuts and chocolate... a friend pointed out it smelled like brownies and I added "brownies with nuts." Still, a little thin and cloying for me... but we also tasted it after 3 big beers, so it came across as a little weak in comparison.

Surprised to see this rated so high - too chocolatey without enough beer taste. Looks and feels great, but it tastes a little thin for all the thickness. Kind of a cool treat, but not something I will pick up again.

Pours dark black with a moderate tan head. The aroma is of fudge, dark chocolate, and almost what smells like syrup. The flavor is still sweet, but not as much as the smell would make you think. Very good, chocolate is the only major thing that stands out with this stout. Just a little bit of bitterness. Nice to have this for a stout as a change of pace.
