DTM (541), Winters, California, USA Feb 14, 2008 Updated: Aug 21, 2008440ml nitro can. Poured a dark black color with a thick and creamy tan head. The smell of chocolate hits the nose right away. And of course the flavor is chocolate. Creamy smooth from start to finish. BeMerry (37), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Feb 14, 2008 Bottle. Pours black with creamy cocoa head. Aroma of hops and perhaps cinnamon; later chocolate liqueur notes, as liquid warms.Chocolate prominent in initial taste followed by musty, slightly sour bittersweetness, malt and coffee. Reminds of the last swallows of a diluted kalua cocktail without the sweetness. CP (124), USA Feb 13, 2008 pretty good, preeettttty preettty preeeettty good weaselkenievil (738), Cheshire, England Feb 13, 2008 I like chcolate and kept seeing this in the shop and thought hmm. Finally ventured of the path and got a bottle. Great stuff. Chocolate of course dickhead. Why listen to me you know what it is. Nice. zootfinster (179), Chicago, Illinois, USA Feb 12, 2008 You can smell the chocolate, you can taste the chocolate, you fan feel the chocolate (I don’t really know how you do that but you can)
This is a deally dry, and interesting tasting stout. It has much of Irish Stout in it’s overall taste. I’m not super crazy about dry stout but with the chocolate flavor this beer is worth a taste. lightning9191 (82), Christiansburg, Virginia, USA Feb 11, 2008 The aroma has alot of chocolate, which gives you a preview of the flavor. No hop aroma. Flavor is well balanced and not too sweet. One of my favorites! checkmatei1 (629), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 11, 2008 Bottle: Poured a Deep Dark Brown with a creamy tan head. The aroma was malty and chocolaty. The flavor was a roasted malt with a nice kick in the mouth of chocolate in the after taste. Finally a chocolate stout that has a noticeable flavor of chocolate. johndavidj99 (123), Township, Maine, USA Feb 10, 2008 Updated: Mar 1, 2008Black with tan brown head. Very light malty aroma. Not much of an aroma. Very thin and watery like a Guinness. A decent drink but nothing to write home about...
