Damn.

Nitro can. So, appearance merits a 5/5, I don't care who you are; completely opaque black with an absolute monster light tan, frothy head. Aroma is like a cup of coffee with chocolate in it. The flavor--wow--is like cocoa-flavored coffee with tons of cream and a whole bunch of sugar; toffee, too. A very, very light touch of bitterness at the end. Feels silky and rich and creamy--ahhh. Overall, this is an absolutely wildly good beer. This is NOT, though, a session beer. I had serious trouble getting through a single can without becoming ill. Overall, you have got to give this a shot.

Pours nearly black with a light brown head. Malty and chocolate dominate the aroma. Taste is chocolate and a little malt. Not as "big’ as I thought it would be, but very drinkable.

Pint at Graydon’s Crossing (Plainfield). Arrived still slowly gathering it’s head. Short but very thick, like melted ice cream. Aroma of dark cocoa, slight coffee, and roasted sugar. Flavorful taste, including chocolate, bready malt, and finishes with dark chocolate. Great palate. A great beer.

Black with a decent tan head. Aroma is fairly weak, but it makes up for it in flavour. Lots of chocolate and malts, somewhat smokey/burnt. Well balanced, not a difficult drink at all. Good stuff!

Bottle. Pours very dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of bitter chocolate. The taste was like chocolate coke or doctor pepper with chocolate syrup added. High carbonation.

Can pours opaque black with thick tan head and very nice lacing. Aroma is bittersweet chocolate. First taste is sweet with slight chocolate bitterness. Pretty well balanced with no taste linger. I dont know if it was just the can but it seemed to be a little watery. Good stout otherwise.
