Not bad but too thin in body. Nice roasted flavor. Chocolate tasted artificial.

500mL bottle from local discount liquor chain, BB 05/10. The pour and head are fairly standard. It has quite a good nose with hints of raisins over the top of the malt and chocolate. Mouth feel is watery and it possesses only two flavours - dark chocolate as advertised - and very burnt malt. Fairly one dimensional, a disappointment considering the price.

A fair chocolate stout. A bit middle of the road, no surprises but alway true to its name.

Just as the label suggests this is a chocolate lover’s paradise in beer form. Aroma is chocolate and dark malts. My pregnant wife got a wiff of this and immediately was intrigued and was craving a chocolate bar. Pours a dark brown with beige head. Taste is amazing. Chocolate flavour but really no overpowering sweetness. This really won’t tickle your sweet tooth but it has all the flavour of a chocolate bar. Really enjoyable stout.

( 440ml nitrocan) pours pitch black with thick frothy head that never quits. Nose of fudge, cream and light coffee notes. Taste of medium bodied coffee, cream, and diluted liquid chocolate. Body is nitro carbonated so it’s a little odd and the mouthfeel is slightly watery. Good old standby but lacks a little flavor for my taste.

The underlying smooth chocolate taste of this beer is awesome, and to achieve that level of flavor without being perceived as sweet is a brewing triumph!

Dark brown with a small light brown head. Aroma is artificial chocolate, sweet and cookie like. Flavour is sweet dark chocolate and light hops. Mouthfeel is slick with light but sharp carbonation. Very straightforward but it do have its place in the beer world. A bit too sweet with too much artificial chocolate for me though.

Brown very creamy and lasting head. Dark thick dark brown body. Heavy aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. The texture is thick and creamy. The taste is medium/heavy sweet and has a bitter-burnt finish.
