14.9 oz can - This was my first double chocolate stout and I just have to say... yum! It smells nice, looks good, and tastes so creamy and sweet. This is a wonderfully drinkable stout. Just a slightly stronger flavor would make it better.

Very pretty 16 oz can with widget, had it for breakfast. The can has some burning orange on the label unlike the bottle label pictured. Pop the lid and you immediately get a typical beery aroma, however, after it stews for a while I think it finally gets some chocolate aroma in there along with a hint of metal. Not as much chocolate as I was expecting considering the label. Beautiful rolling foamy black liquid pour that is a show within itself. This stuff has a thick creamy foamy head. Dark roasted coffee wet burnt wood flavors. Perhaps even some burned wooden barrel tastes. Some, but little, chocolate - was expecting more. Not sweet nor mild but not oppressive, laid back. No carbonation o the palate. Lacing is a blanket. Finish is not too creamy and this brew left me wondering what the label is about. Overall, a nice show when you pour it but comes across flat and not chocolaty. Certainly like many other widget can brews I’ve had in this style. Bell’s Kalamazoo and Yards Love is way better than this. Scores high only on look.

Pours opaque black with a thick head as a Stout should. Chocolate aroma and flavor predominate. Chocolate is complex coming from both dark roast malt and actual chocolate. Chocolate follows till the very end.

Bottle: Poured a deep thick black/brown in color with a thick creamy beige head. The aroma was chocolate sweet and malty. The taste was sweet tangy dark chocolate. The finish was dry and full malty characters remained for a delightful aftertaste.

Bottled. Pours a translucent dark brown with a big, fluffy, lacy tan head that eventually settles down. The aroma is chocolate and vanilla, with some oranges at the end. The taste has more chocolate, along with the vanilla, roasty malt and some fruit. The finish is coffee-bitter with a hint of pepper.

Sampled from a 16 oz can this beer poured a black color with a medium sized brown head. The aroma is remarkably similar to RC Cola. The flavor is sour tangy dark malts with a bit of chocolate and a bitter tangy finish.

Good carbonation, leaves just a bit on the sides of the glass, just like a good beer should. Totally opaque deep dark brown color. Completely smooth body and flavor. Very mellow, hops are evident but this beer is not bitter at all. Effervescent for a stout. I Would buy it again, and likely will.

Bottle: Poured with a lovely tight foamy beige head, rather rocky on top. Very dark redblack colour, clear red edges to the light. Strong malty toffee aroma with hints of roast coffee and chocolate. Lovely velvet smooth sweet malty toffee biscuit taste, with a smooth roast aftertaste. Hints of chocolate, but not as much as I'd expected. Very well balanced hop bitterness, no real hop flavour present. Love the smooth medium-full mouthfeel. Great head retention too. One of the best stouts I've tried so far.
