Pours dark with a brownish thick head. Aromas of chocolate and roasted malts. The flavor is sweet chocolate, some roast, and a slight hop presence.

Great cocoa aroma, and rich dark color (but little to no head). Just slightly too bitter for some reason. RERATE 9/8: chocolate mousse finish that is very satisfying, not as bitter this time.

Not too heavy at first, a little pale ale like with mild bitterness. Chocolate grows as beer warms and also gets stronger in aftertaste. Not the most chocolatey stout I've tasted.

Had this again last night and thought I would do a rerate. Alright. Pours a pretty dark brew, a tad darker than standard. The head is creamy and light brown. Aroma is sweet, chocolate evident. The flavor is sweet, bitter bakers chocolate at first, some coffee, smooth. Not too shabby.

This chocolate-colored ale pours with a short tan head. Everything about this beer is chocolate: the color, the aroma and the flavor. The eclectic recipe works surprisingly well, resulting in a drink that can be consumed as a beer or as a dessert.

Poured from the bottle at The Queen Adelaide in Wandsworth (London), black in colour with a reddish filmy head. A burnt malty aroma. A very chocolatey flavour with coffee notes. A nice bitterness on the palate, but served too cold.

Pours a creamy dark brown with a pretty thick, foamy light tan head. Smells of chocolate notes, dark malts, and cream. The taste is much the same. the chocolate is the most profound flavor, and its very noticeable in the aftertaste. Not a chocolate bomb, by any means, the body is a little watery. Otherwise it would taste like light chocolate milk. Creamy mouthfeel, and fairly long finish.

12 oz bottle, best before 26JAN06. Pours a dark ruby with a moderate sized, caramel colored head that quickly dissipates. Smells of bittersweet chocolate and toasted malts with a slight raisin and metallic aroma. Tastes sweet with a lot of chocolate. Finish is more toasted malts and a little bitterness. Pretty good beer, was not disappointed.
