After almost 600 ratings there is not much left to say. Pours dark, aroma and flavor is of course chocolate. A very silky mouthfull is what makes this a better than average stout.

Pours darkest brown with faint ruby highlights when held to the light. The thick brown head lasts and lasts but the lacing is minimal. Aroma of bitter chocolate, toasted bran muffin, spice and dark roasted coffee. Flavor is dark chocolate, sweet burnt malts with a bitter hop finish - becomes more complex and delicious as it warms. Thick body with a creamy mouthfeel. Nice.

50cl bottle. Deep opaque mahogany with a dense milk chocolate head; roast malts dominate the aroma with some bitter chocolate showing through; rich creamy chocolate texture and flavour, rather like drinking chocolate; some initial sweetness, but soon giving way to an intense chocolate-laden bitterness. The finish becomes slightly sweeter again, but also slightly smoky. A complex, well-bodied and satisfying stout.

Excellent tan head which settles nicely to a thin foam with decent lacing. Aroma of burnt malts. Not much chocolate aroma though. Color is black in the glass and slightly red when held up to a powerful light. Flavor is a little thin with hints of dark chocolate (not much though) and malt. Finish is smooth, creamy and a little dry and bitter with a noticable hops presence that was hidden earlier. A good quality stout but I expected more chocolate flavor and aroma than was there.

Super bready, malty, chocolate and alcohol aroma. Deep as hell. The only drawbacks are the almost choc. syrup nature of the choc & alcohol combination in the mouth.

Draught. This beer is sex in a glass. I am not a huge fan of a rich chocolate taste in beer, so I was a bit concerned going into this one. But, it was very close to perfect. Beautiful pour with a tan 2 finger head. To my suprise there was not a whole lot of aroma. The taste is sweet-the chocolate is there, but is not at all overpowering. Very malty. A great mouthfeel, coats like a velvet robe. Finish is strong and slightly bitter, with just a hint of lemon/vanilla. This is a GREAT beer that is very smooth and rewarding.

Deep dark body, with a thick creamy head. Lots of chocolate aromas. Chocolate, coffee, cream, and malt flavors. Excellent stuff!!!

Nectar of the gods. Deep, dark, almost black body with a thick tan head. Rich, full fudge-like aroma. Taste evidences the claim to chocolate in the brewing. Delicious without being overly sweet or masking the beer flavor. Wonderful finish that tells you it was a great drink. Excellent, however, Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout is better. Why? It's from Brooklyn!
