500 ml bottle, I think? Poured a dark brownish/black with a small light brown head. Aroma was not quite as chocolatey as one would expect from a "Double Chocolate Stout" but the faint chocolate aroma was still there. Flavor was very pleasant but still weak on the chocolate side compared to the Rogue Chocolate Stout. Regardless I made chocolate ice cream floats with this beer and WOW, they were AWESOME!!!! This is my new dessert beer and I will always be keeping some on hand.

Deep black with a good sized tan head that lingers. Chocolate and coffe aromas. Taste is of a dark chocolate bar with subtle coffee notes. Delicios with iced cream, chocolate cake or any dessert for that manner.

I have tried other chocolate stouts and wasn’t impressed. As usual Young’s is above the rest of the crowd. This smell was enticing, the flavor was delicious, and it went down very smooth. This makes a great dessert.

500ml bottle. Pours an opaque near-black colour with good sized tan head. Lovely aroma of roasted chocolate malt, vanilla and truffles. Intense milk chocolate flavour with roast/smoky notes underneath. Smooth palate and a decent weight. A very nice chocolate stout that is a firm favourite of many of my friends when they come to Wandsworth.

Color of this yummy chocolate is deep, brown, almost black like a dark chocolate candy. Nice tan head, frothy foam about a finger high, fades a little leaving patchy lace. Smells of very sweet and rich chocolate with a nice creamy lightness, notes of ginger spice and nuts. Taste echoes the smell, its got a good amount of chocolaty flavor thats sweetly bitter but not overbearing. It stays nice and silky smooth the whole way through with a good chocolatey twinge thats quite nice in the finish and feel. Some faint notes of hop presence and ginger and is medium to heavy bodied. This is a great stout for having around Halloween and the winter Holidays when everyone starts eating more sweets, I've always got a few bottles just waiting for me to have as dessert. Super yummy stuff.

First impression was "oh no, another burnt tasting beer." But there is much more to this stout than that. Incredibly dark in color. Light would not penetrate. It also sports a significant chocolate colored head. First taste was of a strong stout but it tended to smooth out over the course of the pint. Very unusual.

pub can @ redlight redlight.... Pours black with tan cascading bubbled into a dense tan head. Lactic sugars, hints of milk chocolate with vanilla and slight hints of coffee. Watery chocolate flavor, like Yahoo (i hate Yahoo) creamy roasted malts with some vanilla and slight hints of coffee. Not my favorite chocolate stout.
