Bottle. Black with creamy beige head. Malt, caramel and chocolate aroma and malt and chocolate flavour. Stout is not my kind of beer, but this stout is the worst.

Re-Rate: Not much texture as I once thought, and the chocolate flavors aren't as pronounced. The nose isn't very strong but there are dark chocolate, coffee, and doughy flavors. Original: A subtle and smooth beer. The chocolate is present, but not overpowering. A dark, roasted flavor, robust and very tasteful. A good beer all around.

Bottled version, 5.2% Alcohol. The chocoalte flavor rounds out this stout. Roasted malts are also evident. Enjoyable beer, good for a causal glass now and again.

Poured black, with a tight tan foamy head. More than adequate lacing I might add. Aroma of Chocolate, and coffee. Smooth, chocolate is prevalent, like everywhere. In the first taste, the mid taste the oh so sweet lingering after taste. This was smooth, silky and creamy, like a chocolate milk shake. Most excellent dry finish. If stouts are for you, get your paws on this one boys!

500ml bottle. Pours deep black with just a bit of red glow around the edges when held up to the light. Nice layer of creamy tan head. Aromas of perked coffee, butter, mild cocoa and sweet cream. Palate is smooth, but a bit on the thin side. Roast and coffee flavors with some burnt toast. A little sour. Chocolate is very subtle up front, but has a growing presense. Some chalky bitterness in the finish. A pleasant but unexceptional stout. What is there is quite good--but there isn’t enough of it to be that interesting.

Aroma of chocolate malt. Tastes of chocolate, but not much else. The flavor was good, but not much depth to it. The mouthfeel and complexity are fairly poor.

Nitro can: I wasn’t aware that this was retired. This pours from the can with a Guinness type cascade. The beer is a dark brown with a good sized tan head. The aroma is nice. A bit of a chocolate sweetness comes to the top. Body is medium. Taste has a slight sweet chocolate note to it. Fairly silky texture. Nice.

Black body, diminishing brown head of large bubbles. The aroma has vanilla with a hint of hazelnut. A lot of chocolateflavour and the palate gives you the feeling of that you have been chewing on a newspaper. Too sweet and flat for me.
