Appearance is as stout should be with the misty cloud. Has nice chocolate finish but is consistently smooth on the palate and not harsh in any way. A beer not to be heavily consumed as it is very sweet. Consider it an evening pleasure rather than a drunken one

This beer was a huge surprise. I expected a bitter/sweet taste with the inability to finish the entire bottle. Wow, was I surprised. This is in a class of its own. The chocolate kicks in at just the right moment and dosen’t linger or over power the fullness of the brews core. Cheers!

This is a great sweet stout. Has a strong smell of chocolate. The texture is creamy. Taste is of smooth chocolate.

"Pour out a nice dark color with a amazing head which lasted the entire beer. Had a coffee and chocolatey aroma to it. Was a very smooth beer with a nice chocolatey taste, not burnt. Very very nice beer."

My English isn’t good enough for doing "expert" coments. But I can say that I got my first bottle of Youngs Double Chocolate Stout while working at a local chocolate store (yes!) back in 2002 here in Denmark. The store sold the brew, so I had to taste it! May I just say that the palate of this stout beats everything!

First tasted at Hotel Hershey in Hershey, PA - an appropriate setting for this stout. Very dark and creamy. It’s better with a meal than alone. It’s great for special occasions, but a little too smooth and sweet to be my normal stout for everyday consumption.

I had it this fall in Modena, my town, at Griffins Irish Pub, in Largo Hannover. I was really surprised to find out that this beer is actually made with real cacao and the flavour is so full that I had three at once. it was astonishing. No acid flavours, very creamy and smooth. If you, eventually, have it hot it would seem to you real hot chocolate.
