500mL bottle. Pours a deep black colour with a creamy and bubby mocha head that eventually recedes to a lacing. Rich firewood aroma, similar to a pleasant sauna, accented by malts. Initially a smooth tasting beer with a touch of malt. Then a burst of flavour comes in, as rich chocolate and sweet oakiness add to the initial taste. A very smooth, creamy, and filling finish. A complex and exquisite beer.

Sit down in your favorite reading chair, in front of a warm crackling fire. Enhance the experience with a smooth mellow cigar, and a bottle of this excellent double chocolate stout. Pouring into your glass, a rich, deep chocolate color, with a chocolatey froth which dissipates, leaving some lacing. Bringing the glass to your lips, you can inhale the rich dark chocolate. Your taste bud’s are tantalized by the aroma. Upon first sip, the chocolate is rich, holding the taste, and it deepens into a richer chocolate flavor. The aftertaste of chocolate with a bit of alchohol as a flavorful undurcurrent bring rememberances of fine chocolate liquers. The only thing holding this taste sensation back is the thinness, with the rich, deep, flavor, you would expect more of a heavier feel, but it is very light. This is definately going to be a stock item in my home, until I can afford to stock Nøgne Ø Dark Horizon First Edition.

Pitch black pour with a burnt marshmallow colored froth that stays for the duration. Smells like chocolate, tastes like chocolate and finishes like chocolate. Okay there’s a bit of coffee in the flavor and a nice bitter dark chocolate finish. My wife said the after taste is hemp!!!

Looks like and pours like a regular stout, the appearance is good. The nose is very sweet, but the initial taste has a slight bitterness to it. Finishes with a nice after-taste. This is a great beer and very drinkable.

Great! Have had out of the tap and can and enjoy equally both ways. Slightly smoother out of a nitrogenated tap. Some might say it is not a session beer, but if you’re a stout/porter fan it can be done:)

Bottle: Poured a Deep Dark Brown with a creamy tan head. The aroma was malty and chocolaty. The flavor was a roasted malt with a nice kick in the mouth of chocolate in the after taste. Finally a chocolate stout that has a noticeable flavor of chocolate.

Nice dark color. Thick creamy head. nice lacing. Its all about the nitrogen! love the impact nitro has on the smoothness/head/drinkability of beers.
