500mL Bottle: So I finally get to rate one of my favorite beers...my first rating of ’08! Yay!!! Pours dark brown, almost black w/ a large brown sugar head. Leaves nice lacing as it dissipates. Aroma holds chocolate, sweet, sweet chocolate. Reminding me of how much I love this beer. Mmmmm...Flavor is chocolate, chocolate & well...chocolate. My god, I love this beer, I am totally biased when it comes to this beer bottled. I guess I shouldn’t even be allowed to rate this beer. One of my favorite stouts ever! Friggin’ delicious :o)

The Color is dark brown, the flavor is creamy from a good stout. With a definite chocolate and coffe aroma. Good finely balanced. Each drink brought an instant piece of heaven to my mouth. The best Stout that i tested.

Can. Pours a very dark black color with a beautiful tan head. Smelled strongly of chocolate, the taste was like guiness heavy and a slight hint of chocolate. Goes down very smooth.

On draft at Newport Pizza and Ale. This is an insane stout! Looks like a Rolls Royce in the glass, the nose is sweet and deep with rich malts, vanilla and chocolate deliciousness. The favor has an awesome vanilla kick and warm chocolate malts with little bittering quality, silky smooth. Mouthfeel is a creamy swanky kind of texture. I love this stout, if it’s not to obvious~

Aroma is dark chocolate. Black with typical nitrogen head. Not as many fireworks as a can of Guinness, but same result. Taste is a rich dark chocolate mocha. WOW. That is friggin good. Slightly bitter palate. Ever so slight metal after taste that may be just a hoppy high note. Very Very good stout! I would love to try this on tap!

Draught at Flying saucer. Very very dark, nearly black color. Almost no head when it arrived at my table. Aroma was surprisingly chocolaty and smelled like a real chocolate bar. The taste was a hint of chocolate but just enough to be very enjoyable and refreshing. No bad aftertaste, finished very smooth and creamy.

Dark brown with a off white head with slight lacing. Rich malty smell. Full bodied with chocolate and malt flavors. Creamy and filling. Fantastic on tap - the bottles and cans don’t compare (goes without saying I know).

I mis-read the ratings scales (first time user). This re-rate is my intended opinion. I’m not an expert but this beer is one of the most enjoyable I’ve ever had. SInce it all comes down to individual taste, I found this to be wonderfully creamy, slightly bitter and it didn’t overwhelm with hops the way so many stouts do (which is why I usually prefer porters). The malt and the chocolate came together for a very smooth, satisfying pint.
