This is a very good stout! I was extremely surprised on just how much it actually tasted like Chocolate. I will have to add this to my list of beers to drink regularly.

I agree with DrBeer. I am in love with this beer. Rich and chocolatey with a strong coffee note, beautiful deep black hue. Nice malty aroma, lovely thick mouthfeel. The perfect beer for a cool winter night.

My favorite stout. I complain about everything, but could find no complaints about this. The best tasting beer I’ve had.

One of the best beers I've ever had. I could drink this all day long and probably pour it on cereal.

Dark brown, thick creamy head. Almost black in color. Sweet, dark chocolate, stoutlike smell. Malt and hops aromas as well. Perfectly light carbonation. Silky smooth on the tongue, but a little thinner than expected, although it doesn’t detract at all. Roasty dark chocolate flavors. The chocolate, at least in this bottle, is somewhat hard to detect. Coffee flavors as well as an "earthy" kind of taste. The sweetness is nicely balanced with a little bitterness. A very good beer.

This is one of the best milk/sweet stouts that I have had in recent tastings. I picked up a single bottle of this brew at a store, putting me back about $3.50. The labling was great and differed from the lable shown in the picture. Here is my review of this brew: Aroma: Dark chocolate and more dark chocolate. This brews aroma was like smelling a dark chocolate candy bar. Sweet and creamy were also present. Appearance: Again the color was that of a dark chocolate bar. The head poured a very dark brown that provided great lacing down the glass. Very dark...smooth appearance. Flavor: I cannot express what it tasted like except this: Take a Hershey’s dark chocolate bar, melt it, and add it to a very dark stout base...then add a dark cream to it...ohh so yummy. Mouthfeel: Like drinking dark chocolate milk. Smooth, smooth and creamy smooth. Overall Impression: This brew is ontop of the Chocolate Stouts that I have had in the past. I would/will tell everyone about this stout. Would be wonderful with a chocolate desert or over icecream even. This in my opinion is a Damn fine stout.

As sweet/milk stouts go this one stands out for me. It is almost as if a dark choclate bar and a fine sweet stout mated, and then out of that union birthed forth this brew. I have really enjoyed tasting this fine brew over and over again. Great with a chocolate desert and/or a night-cap before bed just relaxing.

Recommended by a waitress at Croxley’s Ale House in Franklin Square, NY. Appearance: pours the typical dark mahogany nitro stout color with a brown creamy head one-half a finger thick that is retained. Moderate-to-thick lacing left on the pint glass throughout. Smell: the smell of chocolate shines through here with a slight hint of coffee. Taste/Mouthfeel: a perfect balance of roasted and chocolate malts and Fuggle and Goldings hops with the added taste of dark chocolate. The sweet taste of chocolate (but not overly sweet) with a creamy milkiness at the front of the tongue is followed by the roasted malt flavor (slightly bitter) at the rear of the mouth. Unbelievably smooth and creamy with light carbonation and a full body. Drinkability: this is definitely the best milk/cream stout that I’ve ever tasted!!! I would go out of my way for this one! The balanced flavor and silky creaminess makes it a great session beer. However, the full body and price may limit how many pints one can have. Overall, this a great stout to drink all-year round but especially during the chilly winter months! Give this one to those that do not enjoy stouts or darker beers and they may quickly give in to the Dark Side! It’s that good!!! Side note: I have not tried this beer in a bottle or nitro can yet. I have read that it is better on tap or from the can due to the nitro charge.
