Bottled: Very nice aroma with intensive cacao notes. Black color, brownish foamy head. Flavor is full, light sourly, roasted malt, dark chocolate, light sweet. Light hoppy, dark chocolate bitterness. Wow.

Smooth and creamy. Not sure why they call this "Double Chocolate". It has a hint of chocolate (along with coffee and roasted malts) but the chocolate doesn't dominate (and that's a good thing). Smooth finish. It leaves a lingering, fruity finish on my tongue sort of like a bing cherry. This beer rocks! A better session stout than Guinness.

This is a supberb stout IMHO. I truly enjoy this one, although it is very sweet. It is a great beer to end the night with, and I am sure that it would be great with dessert. For those in Austin, the Gingerman pours the best one in town that I am aware of!!

Black with an excellent and lasting head. Aroma gives off the first hints of the imending chocolate rush. And it does rush in on that first sip. It is not a subtle hint of chocolate, but it is also not overwhelmingly sweet. Creamy, but not thick. A fantastic offering. I shall be drinking this again.

A wonderfully strong choclate aroma. A friend standing across the kitchen as I poured the glass remarked on how good this smelled from across the room. Along with a beautiful tan head, the nitro-can adds a very slight odd sort of sourness. It is a metric tad more watery than the bottle. Still, a very good beer with strong chocolate flavors and a hint of coffe-like bitterness in the finish. I ate a powdered donut along side of this and it was perfect. I was almost tempted to dunk it in the beer. OK, so I actually did dunk it in the beer (tasted pretty good, too). I knew it was wrong and I did it anyway.

Now that the ratings for the nitro can are merged with the others in the database, I feel it necessary to point out that the regular bottled version is more flavorful and smoother without the odd note from the nitro.
