Nice thick brown head, great aroma with chocolate and nutty hints. Full bodied flavor, smooth chocolate that fades to a subtle bitterness. A bit heavy for a solo night but good for drinking with friends.

Nitro can- I had my doubts about another 'chocolate' stout, but was pleasantly surprised. Poured beautifully with a nice light brown head that stayed with it until the last drop. Nice chocolate aroma (I thought chocolate milk, my wife thought dark chocolate), with a slight dough aroma. We both got a bit of vanilla and red wine also. The lacing wasn't impressive, but it had a nice thick, creamy body with soft carbonation, but a slightly metallic/watery finish. Overall quite good though, maybe the uniqueness is what got me.

I have had this beer alot and I am finally going to rate it. Smooth. Like chocolate milk. For the price and the quality, this beer is among the best. Good aroma, great smooth taste, and can you say chocolate?

Bottle pours a deep brown - black color with very little light getting through and a BIG rocky head that sustains and leaves lots of lace - looks like a root beer float without the ice cream. The aroma is of chocolate malt and perhaps some coffee. The flavor is of dark chocolate with some roastiness and very little in the way of hops or bitter. The palate is very, very nice - rich and chewy. This pairs really well with a French silk pie! Wow, what a great way to end a meal! Awesome.

A new arrival to my local beer store. Pours a very dark color with a lasting, ruby-red head. Aroma is all chocolate. Taste is... surpsrisingly, all chocolate, but oh sooooo good. I’ve had quite a few stouts with ’chocolate’ on the label, but this is heads and shoulders above. Finish is somewhat sticky and biting, but every other chocolate stout I’ve ever had has been the same way. I don’t know why I’m still reviewing this beer... I need to put it down, go back to the store, and load up on as much of this stuff as I can. Awesome stout. Better than a milkshake.

Presentation: nice brown pint bottle, with an average purple label, but a raised ram blown into the glass. (got the pint for $2.25, well worth the price) Nice dark beer with amber highlights. Holy head! This head is huge and creamy, and leaves some great lacing. Hard to smell with a two inch head on the beer. After a few minutes, the head shrinks, and now I can smell it. Hmmm... not what I was expecting. It's almost sour. Not my cup of tea. Sure hope it tastes better than it smells. Well it does. I was gonna give this a 3.5 in taste, but the aftertaste bumps it up half a point. Nice tangy initial taste, with a nice, rich, chocolaty/coffee aftertaste that lingers and gets better as time goes on. THIS is how they reel you in, because the longer I sit here and type, the more I want a sip of this brew. Damn that aftertaste is good. A bit thin in the mouthfeel, but would I really want this to be thick? If it was thick, this beer would be filling. So this is just right. Damn, there's that great aftertaste again. Wowee, this is a drinkable beer for the aftertaste alone... the more it lingers, the more I want it. I hate chocolate, but this is one good MFing beer.

20th rating. Great stout.Chocolate, with Chocolate, and a hint of Chocolate. Not too sweet. Kind of a Ruby-Black; clear enough too see the constant flow of bubbles but too opaque to see through. Light brown head with little lacing.Medium to full body with a soft, creamy feel. WILL drink again.

Can with Widget Pours a dark tan with microscopic bubbles that move DOWN the edge of the glass is curvy waves. Cool to watch. I can smell the hints of chocolate already. After a min or two the head has settlked into a nice 1.5cm layer of light tan that is so uniform and dense that I can actually make small peaks in it with my finger. The lacing is doing a good ob of coating most of the glass as it goes down. Classic stout aroma with of course the semi-sweet chocolate as the predominant factor. Taste is as advertised, choc as well asdark coffee are the players here. Bitter after tom\nes typical of a stout. Not as much of a heavy thick feel as some of my favorite porters and more drinkable than the more famous Guiness. The feel is creamy and smooth and goes down easy. Stouts are typically not my favorite but I could get used to this one quite fast. Glass is half gone and the creamy head is still there. Quite good
