A beautifully hand crafted beer with an exceptionally smooth palette and a fruity aroma. A dark, ruby-coloured stout, almost black from a distance, with a beautiful creamy head. Fuggles and Goldings hops. 20% Slovenian Goldings added 10 minutes befofe end of boil.

Opaque black in colour with an initially large beige head which rapidly dissipated to a very thin head. Coffee detected in the aroma. Thin to medium bodied with average carbonation. Moderate bitterness. Nice long and fairly sweet finish. - 500ml bottle.

Dark brown rich look. Rich tan creamy head. Oatmeal aroma. Very smooth and creamy on the palate. Mild flavors of oatmeal, chocolate and coffee. Very drinkable. Great stout.

Pours black with light brown head. Not much aroma, mild burnt malts. Flavor is mild also. Starts sweet and finishes mildly bitter. Not much going on. Meduim body with very little carbonation and a slick and creamy mouthfeel. Goes down real smooth, very drinkable.

16.9 ounce bottle in pint glass. Black with tan head. Dark chocolate with oatmaeal cookie aroma. Medium chocolate sweetness, medium roast, mild fruity tang and mild bitter finish. Nice and sessionable but perhaps a tiny bit watery. Medium-light body and medium-low carbo. Tasty but could be more robust.

I’ve always preferred the Oatmeal stout to Young’s Double Chocolate stout. I’ve always had it served cold from tap. It pours black with a rich tan-colored head. Aroma is highlighted with roasted malts and some coffee, chocolate and caramel. Great mouthfeel, solid flavor with creaminess, sweetness and notes of the chocolate and coffee. Slightly hoppy finish. A solid Oatmeal stout.

Dark brown pour with foamy tan head. Excellent lacing. Some earthy tones in the aroma, but mostly sweet molasses and chocolate. Flavor is obviously sweet and bitter with the finish being a dry dark chocolate. It is slightly salty. Medium to light palate. Enjoyable beer, but not a brew to sit down and kick up your feet with.

Bottle. Pours a dark black body with a thick light brown head. The aroma is light; some roasted malt and coffee. The flavor is great; a thick creamy body with coffee, roasted malts, rich oats, some light fruit and overall a creamy full taste. Really quite a great stout. I can drink these English stouts all day long. Very good.
