A beautifully hand crafted beer with an exceptionally smooth palette and a fruity aroma. A dark, ruby-coloured stout, almost black from a distance, with a beautiful creamy head. Fuggles and Goldings hops. 20% Slovenian Goldings added 10 minutes befofe end of boil.

Nice Beer! Let us start with the appearance. I had a bottle which I poured into an English Pint glass, the beer is the darkest of browns(desc says red, I can’t see it) with a nice cream head but loses a point because the head doesn’t last long. The aroma is of chocolate and coffee same as the taste which is quite beautiful, but not the best. The palate was slightly disappointing but maybe if I can find a tap that would solve this problem. Overall a Nice beer. Worth the buy.

Bottle. Pours black with a one finger light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, oatmeal, slight chocolate, and notes of coffee. Flavor is coffee, roasted malts, faint chocolate with a bit of hops on the finish.

Draught at Uusi Apteekki, Turku. Black color with creamy tan head. Soft roasty coffee aroma. Soft and dry roasty coffee flavor with dark fruits and firm bitterness. Nice soft carbonation. Good stout with firm basic flavors.

On tap at Oldsmar Tap House. Nitro keg, so the usual waterfall pour. Pitch black. Very creamy white head. A pretty ridiculous amount of very thick lacing. Roasted malt aromas, grain, caramel, slight chocolate, and an overall feeling of cereal. Sweet, grainy malt flavors. Big-time oatmeal. Chocolate, too. Body is smooth and creamy. Easy drinking, and balanced well.

500 ml bottle. Black body with a rich, rust red head. Delicious aroma of coffee, chocolate, vanilla and roasted malt. Flavor is a light balanced mix of chocolate, coffee, vanilla and roasted malt. Not very bitter and very quaffable and refreshing.

bottle. pitch black pour with an impressive mountain of creamy tan foam, aroma is sweet coffee and malt. Taste is sweet oatmeal mixed with coffee and dark chocolate. the roasted coffee and chocolate flavor tend to dominant the taste but are balanced to create a beer that drinks very fast. medium body.

Bottle. Completely opaque dark brown with a small brown head. Sweet aroma of toasted malt. Flavor of toasted malt, toffee, and chocolate. Lingering toastyness. Not a huge flavor, but what’s there is tasty.

Pours a deep black, with a nice thin tan head. Aroma is of dark roasted malts, oatmeal and cream. The flavor is pure roasty malts and oatmeal - tastes sort of like a nice bowl of Quakers in the morning. The mouthfeel is far too thin, however, and really detracts from the overall experience. Pretty good brew, but not nearly as good as Samuel Smiths Oatmeal Stout.
