A beautifully hand crafted beer with an exceptionally smooth palette and a fruity aroma. A dark, ruby-coloured stout, almost black from a distance, with a beautiful creamy head. Fuggles and Goldings hops. 20% Slovenian Goldings added 10 minutes befofe end of boil.

Wow. This one is off the scales. I know its "Youngs" and not as good as some other beers, but if you’re looking for an oatmeal stout that’s high on the oat and the flavor, this is by far the best I;ve had. This beer is THICK and creamy, almost tastes like actually drinking oatmeal. Smells like oats, tastes like oats, palate is...oats! Man this is delicious. Can’t wait to try Founders and Mikkeller and compare. Second only to the Double Chocolate Stout...also by Young’s.

The aroma was very light, but had a hint of sweet yeast dough. The first thing i thougt of when i tasted this was ice mocca. Its lightbodied, almoast refreshing with a oily feel that lingers. The taste is of chocolate and coffee, and its a litle watery. but its not a bad thing in thisone. The fome was light brown, but didnt last long.

Pours dark brown with a small head and good lacing. There is a lot of roasted malt and some coffee as well. Not bad, could be slightly sweeter.

near black with fluffy chocolate head. The palate was on the thin side making easy to drink, yet also a bit watery. Flavors were coffee malts and chocolate. This brewery makes good stouts.

Young’s Oatmeal Stout pours an opaque black with a creamy (nitrogen/guinness) head. The flavor is clean and sweet, with hardly any trace of hops, but the mouth feel and finish is disappointingly thin. Ok, nothing special.

Bottle. Poured almost black with a light brown head. Roasted malt nose with coffee notes. Medium/full body. Flavor is smoky and roasted malt. A very burnt wood/campfire taste which I love. Very enjoyable, if you like that smoky taste you’ll like this beer.

Probably my favorite oatmeal stout out there. Color is perfect, mouthfeel is right on. This beer is rather sweet, which I like in an oatmeal stout. When I am in a liquor store and they have this beer, I buy at least one every time!

pours a very dark brown with a mocha head. a bit dry and chocolaty on the nose and almost milky. taste is very refreshing and light for a stout, though it makes for an easy drinker. flavors of coffee and malt fill the mouth. a smooth, well brewed beer.
