| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 13, 2008 From bottle : Pours very dark brown, with a very light brown half finger of head, that dies fast. Nose is faint, with some malts coming through. Taste is sweet, but not much roastedness at all. Body is medium, palate isnt anything special. Some of the roastedness finally comes through on the aftertaste. Pretty good, but i was hoping for a little more. BEERGUY007 (206), Scotia, New York, USA

Pours black and has a nice creamy thick tan head. leaves a little lace. Smells a little of hops, a little malty. Tastes of coffee, sweet, but only very little, you really have to watch for it. Nice stout. WillieV (191), Maryland, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 9, 2008 This is one of my favorite beers. Great beer to sit and enjoy. Looks like a well brewed stout with a thick head that lingers. The smell of roasted oats invigorates the palate. It goes down smoothly managing to combine a complex set of flavors. A well brewed brew.

Chocolate and cocoa aromas with some nutti- and fruitiness. Very smooth taste with a strong palate. A perfect blend of malted roastedness and other flavors. If you find this beer, drink it. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 3, 2008 Pours particularly well with a massive and very rock head; coffee coloured and the body is quite a dark chocolate brown. Sweet chocolate on the nose, at least very early. Some dry roasty notes kick in as well. Palate and flavours show really good weight. Milk chocolate and hints of cocoa drink the flavours although they never really reach a level you would consider ‘intense’. Palate structure is quite soft and the fizz levels a re quite tame. I drank this slightly colder than room temp but I reckon it would be a very decent depths-of-winter session stout.
