A beautifully hand crafted beer with an exceptionally smooth palette and a fruity aroma. A dark, ruby-coloured stout, almost black from a distance, with a beautiful creamy head. Fuggles and Goldings hops. 20% Slovenian Goldings added 10 minutes befofe end of boil.

Pour is a jet black with a nice tan creamy head. Aroma is hard to come by. Some chocolate i guess. Flavor is also difficult to find. Some roasted malts but not much else. Finish is very watery. Not a real good stout.

ON tap at the Yard House in Irvine. Looked the part. Aroma could have been more pronounced, but what was there was good. Flavor was a bit chalkywith some oatmeal sweetness, chocolate and coffee. Taste was good, but the chalkiness of the palate was a big detractor.

Light hit on the palate, but good on flavor. Poured with rich head, and tasted of chocolate. Nice brew... will drink again!!!

500ml bottle. Light brown, mostly diminishing head. Deep brownish black body, almost entirely opaque. Roasted dark bread, hay, leather, honey and chalk to the nose. Flavor is light, moderately bitter with hints of coffe. Light, creamy body, softly carbonated with a lightly astringent, chalky feel.

Poured a very dark brown with a thick foamy dark tan head that lasted with a little lacing. The aroma was not to strong with a little malty fragrance. It has a nice slightly creamy texture and a mild taste. Subtle flavors of chocolate and coffee. The flavor was milder than I had anticipated from the appearance of the beer in the glass. The flavor was fine and not heavy and filling a good beer to have several at one sitting.

Sample from bottle at Porterfestivalen, Gothenburg 071110. Black/dark brown color with a brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, oatmeal, fruit. bitter chocolate, some coffee and light hops. Tastes of roasted malt, toasted bread, coffee, caramel, bitter chocolate, dark fruits and some hop bitterness. Dry, smooth finish and medium body. Very nice!

Bottle: Nearly black with a thick creamy brown head. Aroma is very mild, though pleasant, of roasted malts - chocolate. Taste is nice of coffee & chocolate. Velvet/smooth palate. Low carbonation. So very drinkable!

Bottle 500 ml
Appearance : Oily darkness with respectable medium large thick pillowy beige crown.4+
Nose :Rich yet fairly light aroma , sweet caramel , plenty of malt , sweet brown chocolate with light aromatic hop side.7+
Flavour/Palate : Soft palate, medium full bodied stout. Light creamy milk chocolate but not to sweet . Tasty cake like sides with some mineral footnote. Thinner finish. Overall solid tasty dark ale .
