A beautifully hand crafted beer with an exceptionally smooth palette and a fruity aroma. A dark, ruby-coloured stout, almost black from a distance, with a beautiful creamy head. Fuggles and Goldings hops. 20% Slovenian Goldings added 10 minutes befofe end of boil.

Bottle, pours a deep black-brown with a light brown, foamy head that leaves a medium to heavy lacing behind. Sweet, chocolate aroma with hints of roasted malts. Flavor is sweet with chocolate coffee taste and some toastiness. The body is heavy, smooth and creamy. Finishes rather clean with a slight bitterness.

This is retired? Bad call. Still my fave oatmeal stout. Still a simple, delicious dark-brown beer with a nice foamy head, bold dry roasted chocolaty flavour, and a clean slightly sour finish.

Pours in deep brown, almost black. Opaque. Nice creamy tan head leaves heavy lacing on the glass. Aroma has notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with hints of roasted malts, chocolate, and licorice. Medium to full body, very smooth. Slight taste of alcohol. Mild slightly bitter finish. Nice stout a tad simple for my taste.

Pours big n’ black with a tiny off-white head. Disheveled patterns of tan lace. Nose is roasted chocolate and teriyaki. Taste is roasted malts and barley with coffee beans, wood, earth, and syrup. Subtle notes of smoked green apples and ash with a metallic aftertaste. Full body and medium carbonation. Roasty qualities in flavor diminish over time. Not as smooth as anticipated. A crisper finish than the average stout but with an unusually high level of carbonation for the style.

Bottle: Very creamy. Great flavour. Dark almost black colour and a thick off white head. Sweet taste. Second to Samuel Smiths.

Retired? This pours dark with a beautiful light brown head. This has an earthiness to it with a definate chewiness. I also picked up some smokiness to it. It has very little hoppiness to it.

Black with a short lived, off white head. Chocolate and roast aroma. Roast flavour, dry with wooden notes.
