Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts, and even a slight bit of oats or that might just be me imagining that since this is an oatmeal stout. Mouthfeel is kind of weak and thin with not much carbonation. Flavor is nice bit I was distracted by the thinness of the body. An okay stout. robforbes (1098), Bremerton, Washington, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 31, 2007 50cL bottle, BB March 31 2008, still designated as brewed in London, ingested 7/30/07. Pours a ruby tinted black with light brown foam that quickly fades. Aroma is barely there, just a little hint of roasted grains. Flavor is of a muted stout, fairly inoffensive, seeing as how there isn’t really much there. Mouthfeel is really watery, just left me feeling kinda empty inside. polomagnifico (534), Saginaw, Michigan, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 30, 2007 1pint bottle, $3.59. Aroma is lightly malty with notes of dark choco and coffee. Huge foamy, light brown, head that was mostly lasting and left good lace. Murky dark black body. Flavor was moderately bitter with an average finish. Palate is medium body and watery flat with a chalky and sour finish. Too much like Guinness and nothing in flavor but bitters. LooseCannon (930), Norfolk, Virginia, USA
