A beautifully hand crafted beer with an exceptionally smooth palette and a fruity aroma. A dark, ruby-coloured stout, almost black from a distance, with a beautiful creamy head. Fuggles and Goldings hops. 20% Slovenian Goldings added 10 minutes befofe end of boil.

500 ml bottle. Poured a deep dark black with a good size tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts, and even a slight bit of oats or that might just be me imagining that since this is an oatmeal stout. Mouthfeel is kind of weak and thin with not much carbonation. Flavor is nice bit I was distracted by the thinness of the body. An okay stout.

pours a black with a thin tan head that hangs out with you while you partake. smells is of roasted grain, coffee, and bakers chocolate. taste is nicely smooth and fizzy, weak coffee and a little chocolate in the background. this is a good beer, not as good as samual smiths oatmeal but still a keeper.

50cL bottle, BB March 31 2008, still designated as brewed in London, ingested 7/30/07. Pours a ruby tinted black with light brown foam that quickly fades. Aroma is barely there, just a little hint of roasted grains. Flavor is of a muted stout, fairly inoffensive, seeing as how there isn’t really much there. Mouthfeel is really watery, just left me feeling kinda empty inside.

1pint bottle, $3.59. Aroma is lightly malty with notes of dark choco and coffee. Huge foamy, light brown, head that was mostly lasting and left good lace. Murky dark black body. Flavor was moderately bitter with an average finish. Palate is medium body and watery flat with a chalky and sour finish. Too much like Guinness and nothing in flavor but bitters.

Fairly feint aroma but nice, slightly smoky, meatiness. Smoky chocolate finished by uplifting hoppiness. Very nice.

Pours a viscous dark brown, nearly black, with a short-lived beige head. Aroma of cocoa, oatmeal, roasted malt, and some coffee. More malt and semi-sweet chocolate in the taste with strong smoke flavors. Leather, Fuggles, and oats follow. Very nice.
