Nothing too crazy here, just a well balanced stout with that oatmeal smoothness. No alcohol taste at all. If you like Guinness or Murphy’s-- this is probably a nice step up. Poured deep, deep brown with a brown head. Strong aroma of dark roasted coffee. The flavour isn’t as strong as the aroma would lead you to believe, but also balances that coffee and roasted malt with some fairly large hopping, and sweet-balancing malts. I liked it, but I think having tried the Double Choc prior to it probably didn’t help this one at all. CheersBabe (62), USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 2, 2007 bottle - Pours very dark brown with a big, frothy head. The aroma is all roast malts and oatmeal grain. The same follows through in the flavor and some mild hops bitterness finishes this medium bodied stout off. Pretty good. taunusmies (277), Finland
