A beautifully hand crafted beer with an exceptionally smooth palette and a fruity aroma. A dark, ruby-coloured stout, almost black from a distance, with a beautiful creamy head. Fuggles and Goldings hops. 20% Slovenian Goldings added 10 minutes befofe end of boil.

Is this retired? A well done oatmeal stout. Nothing too crazy here, just a well balanced stout with that oatmeal smoothness. No alcohol taste at all. If you like Guinness or Murphy’s-- this is probably a nice step up.

500 mL bottle at Zeno’s, Penn State. Poured dark brown with chunky, creamy, thick tan head. Lots of chocolate in the flavor with sweet, roasty malts. Very smooth and easy drinking. Retired, huh?

500ml Bottle: This one’s retired? Thank God I found a bottle, then, this pleases me. Poured deep, deep brown with a brown head. Strong aroma of dark roasted coffee. The flavour isn’t as strong as the aroma would lead you to believe, but also balances that coffee and roasted malt with some fairly large hopping, and sweet-balancing malts. I liked it, but I think having tried the Double Choc prior to it probably didn’t help this one at all.

bottle - Pours very dark brown with a big, frothy head. The aroma is all roast malts and oatmeal grain. The same follows through in the flavor and some mild hops bitterness finishes this medium bodied stout off. Pretty good.

Pours black with thick off-white head. Smooth mouthfeel, slightly bitter. Taste has roasted malts with a hint of coffee. Aftertaste is a bit sweet with a taste of chocolate.
