A beautifully hand crafted beer with an exceptionally smooth palette and a fruity aroma. A dark, ruby-coloured stout, almost black from a distance, with a beautiful creamy head. Fuggles and Goldings hops. 20% Slovenian Goldings added 10 minutes befofe end of boil.

Dark, with good, fine head. Light in nose and body, with solid flavors of toasty malts & coffee, with fair finish of caramel and chocolate.

As someone who’s not a huge fan of stouts, I liked this one a lot. Very smooth, not too much of that burned/roasted malt flavor, more chocolate. Did seem a bit thin for a stout though.

Pours dark brown, nice tan head. Disappointingly light mouthfeel for a stout. Not much for me to say, but I can’t see myself having another one of these. Big disappointment after high expectations from the Double Chocolate Stout.

From tap. Thick, whipped cream head. Carbonation is minimal, almost flat. Aroma of coffee and roasted malt, sweetish. Tastes bitter, roasted malt. If the carbonation would be higher, this one would be one of the best stouts I’ve tried.

Draft at new world. Looks like a stout should, black, creamy tan head, appealing. Pretty sure this was nitro. Aroma of coffee, malt, bread and yeast. Creamy, flat mouthfeel. Finish is dry, much dryer than I expected actually. The oatmeal really doesn’t come through anywhere in the flavor or the aroma. I was expecting this to be classified as a dry stout, because that’s what it tastes like.

Bottled. Shaker. Smells a bit of caramel malt. Notes of chocolate and caramel in the beginning that finish more pronounced. Slightly lingering dark chocolate bitterness. Really light mouthfeel. Doesn’t hold well at all. The appearance is also lacking in any outstanding features as it is a plain dark brown with practically no head retention. Decent.

Bottle. Brownish black with nice tan head. Roasted malts in the nose and a bit of coffee and chocolate as well in the taste. Pretty good mouth feel. I enjoyed this one.
