| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 7, 2007 Black body topped by a long-lasting tan head. The foundation of a typical stout with roasted malts and friends. This one leans slightly towards the roasted coffee beans flavour. What sets it apart is it lemony side with leafy foresty hops and surprising tartness. This is not a heavy filling stout. This is a the refreshing type of stout and I liked it a lot. Black beers can be refreshing too. It’s not a white beer only thing anymore. Equality!!! churchill00 (154), Austin, Texas, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 2, 2007 Poured from bottle, dark reddish black, huge tan head that lasted forever! Smelled like sweet oats and malt. Taste was chocolate, oats, malts, and some sweetness...Very little hop bitterness...I liked this but found the finish was a bit watery for my taste...Would have liked a longer finish...
