| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 10, 2006 I find this hard to fault, pours quite nice in every way. Aroma is roasted smoked lightly at times, coffee and chocolate come through lightly as ud imagine. Taste is similaer very smooth, though carbonation is a bit excessive to start with. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 9, 2006 Bottle poured nicely with a dark body with a coffee ice cream head. Aroma was bitter, and the appearence was attractive. However that’s were it ended. This thing finished like a Heisman hopeful that faded away. This was certainly no Troy Smith. I am out on this Stout. coldbrewky (738), Saugerties, New York, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 7, 2006 Always the first of the day at the brewery tap. A good substitute for breakfast. Creamy and smooth, a strong touch of bitterness but not overwhelming, Bottle and can quite similar. Black patent and chocolate well balanced. Respectable head retention. A benchmark stout.
