Aroma of lovely chocolates, coffee and malts. Taste of burnt coffee, chocolates and hops. Was very yummy. Well done my British friends! A very tastey beer, would love to try it on tap. shrubber85 (2920), Wallhalben, Germany

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 11, 2006 Opaque dark brown/black body with a finger of tan head. Smells like chocolate malt. Tastes roasty and sweet, with chocolate malt quite apparent. Full bodied. Tasty, but not as robust as Samel Smith’s... radagast83 (1302), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 7, 2006 On tap at Stout NYC -- nice and creamy half inch tan head lasting half a pint, and a shiny ebony hue (in the dimly lit beer bar). First pull savor the fine roast aroma and taste of a nicely balanced sweet and silky (and somewhat malty) oatmeal stout. Very nice indeed. Eructoblaster (1496), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 6, 2006 Bottle. Black body with subtle dark brown glints and a thick brown foamy head. Lovely malty/hoppy aroma with roasted cereals and coffeeish notes. Well balanced malty/hoppy taste that carries roasted malt hints. Ends with a long bitter/roasty finish. Very good example of Oatmeal Stout. cab (863), Denmark
