From tap at Charlies. Pours pitch black with a huge creamy tan head. Light roasted malt aroma with a light oatmeal note. Smoth mouthfeel. Flavour is light roasted and mild chocolate flavoured. Light roasted finish with a very nice smoothness. Light sweetness and mild alcohol note in the finish.

Draught at St Michael Irish Pub, Oulu, Finland. Appearence is very promising: nearly black with a thick, creamy tan head. Aroma is rather mild, sweet and malty. Flavour is roasted, lightly burned malts, a bit watery. Nice, soft mouthfeel, not much carbonation. Easy to drink but doesn’t taste nearly as good as it looks.

I thought this was a deliscous oatmeal stout. I have to say i have been a fan of the higher end classifications of this syle and this ranks up there. Sweet smell with a hint of honey, dark brown pour with a nutty head. Tastes sweet and thick but not enough to bog down your palate.

Draught. Black with creamy tanned head. Softly burned, malty aroma with some smoke and coffee. Smooth. Flavor is mainly burned malt with dry coffee, cocoa and slight peatness even. Little hops bitterness. Medium bodied, creamy palate. Easy drinking ,burned stout.

One of the best beers I’ve ever had. Powerful coffee aroma upon pouring. Very full body that felt interesting on my tongue. Great flavor, a little bit sweet.

Opaque black in colour with an initially large beige head which rapidly dissipated to a very thin head. Coffee detected in the aroma. Thin to medium bodied with average carbonation. Moderate bitterness. Nice long and fairly sweet finish. - 500ml bottle.
