A black beer with a beutiful light brown head. The aroma is with notes of smoke. The flavor is very light with a dryness and notes of smoke. Too thin for a stout especially for an oatmeal stout.

From tap at Charlies. Pours pitch black with a huge creamy tan head. Light roasted malt aroma with a light oatmeal note. Smoth mouthfeel. Flavour is light roasted and mild chocolate flavoured. Light roasted finish with a very nice smoothness. Light sweetness and mild alcohol note in the finish.

Bottled. Black with rich, creamy, stable head. Licorice aroma. Surprisingly dry nose with a hint of coffee. Clean and bold mouthfeel, sweeter finish with some tar and medium bitterness. Pretty good, but not really as firm as I remembered it.
