Tastes better than it smells. Crisp and refreshing overall albiet a little watery. Somewhat yeasty aftertaste. All right but I’ll stick with the more popular Yuenglings if I’m going that route. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 1, 2009 Pours a pale color very clear and bubbly with a medium thick head that gets a bit spotty after a while. The aroma is fresh hay some skunk, some light graininess and some bohemian hops.
The flavor is grainy and husky, largely clean with a mildly hoppy character and some corniness and honey notes. kwerikson (118), burlington, New Jersey, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 12, 2009 Green, 12oz twist-off bottle. Aroma of the skunkiest hops. Gotta love those green bottles. Once the beer has a chance to air itself out it has the softest pale malt nose. Now it smells appealing. Golden blonde color, bright white foamy head. Very sweet malt flavor, a touch corn and steamed vegetables. Very grainy though. Sharp bittering hops in the finish. Light bodied, full flavored. A bit off balance for me but very drinkable for an American Ale. If I was stranded in a small NE mining town, I would still be able to survive on this beer.

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 21, 2009 Sample at Newtown Brewfest. Pale yellow gold color with decent white head that receeds quickly. Smells of grains with a little spice. Good amount of carbonation. Flavor of sweet malt and grains dominate followed by a mild bitter finish. Elwood (684), Leesburg, Virginia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 17, 2009 Serving: 12 oz. bottle.
Appearance: Light copper color with a foamy white head. Poor head retention and virtually no lacing.
Aroma: A light nose with grassy hops and grainy malt. Nothing special.
Flavor: Follows the nose with grass, grain, mild malt sweetness and a decent bitter backbone. It lacks anything substantial though.
Palate: Medium-high carbonation with a medium-light mouthfeel and a medium-short, slightly bitter finish.
Overall: Only worth drinking if you don’t have much else. ghostmonkey (182), budd lake, New Jersey, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 5, 2009 A fine, medium ale. Goes well with seafood, as per description.
Immediately impacts the mouth, with a noteworthy aftertaste. Not too strong in any particular way, but aroma is probably its highest score.
A wonderful choice for something different, but not too different.
