Light, fruit forward and somewhat skunky aroma. Crisp nose, thin but unoffensive body and a light finish. Flavor is somewhat sour with some fruit, a hint of hops and metal. Has been our house beer for the last 3 years and will remain so. One of the best modestly priced beers for the money and one that has never let me down.
Note: In my experience this beer tastes noticably different from a bottle, poured from a can or on tap. In my opinion, the best taste is when poured from a can. If you dislike Yuengling from a bottle, try it from a can and see if that doesn’t change your opinion. It doesn’t hold a great head or give you a complex flavor pallet but you can drink all night without flinching. smooch (104), Sylvania, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 6, 2009 I’ve been looking for this stuff for a long time as I haven’t lived in a state that had it. And it isn’t that good. I’d drink this if I got it for free, but the taste just isn’t that good. A bit ...just yuckyl. I can’t even get specific. It is light, but the taste is a bit stronger than I would have thought. duffman462 (162), Gainesville, Florida, USA

For me, Yuengling is the one-eyed man of macro-crap lagers. I enjoy it, although it does suck. Foamy, thin, just a bit sweet, but somehow it makes for a good night of cheap drinking. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2009 Draft: Poured a deep amber color lager with a medium foray head with OK retention. Aroma of nice creamy caramel malt with light sweet notes. Taste is refreshing and easily drinkable with creamy texture and some well balanced caramel malt. Body is fuller then average with great carbonation and a nice creamy texture. Nothing earth shattering but very well done nonetheless.
