Yuengling has a light crisp refreshing taste, pours nice, light copper color.

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 31, 2009 With thanks to my cousin in law for gifting me this. Appearance, light brown/orange, with a small white head. Aroma: Slightly grassy, light malt, some corn and sugar. Flavour: Lightly malty, again; slightly grassy, a trace of cereal and a quick malt finish. Nothing wrong with it, just boring. Bricks (44), USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 31, 2009 A decent widely distributed lager. A little too much carbonation. Beer looks nice in the glass but not much else to speak of on that front. Taste is passable. I do like the spices on the aftertaste. crhensel (26), New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 31, 2009 (bottle into pint glass) I may be very biased as this has always been a staple, but I love this one! Pours a beautiful deep amber color with a creamy head and good lacing. Nose is of a slight toffee sweetness, and a slight hop mixed in. Drinks very smooth with a slight sharp bite of the hops at the end. A little heavier than most macrobrewed lagers (as Yuengling is hardly small anymore) but not as overbearingly in your face as some micros. A great middle of the road choice. Excellent compliment to a chargrilled burger! weihenweizen (62), West Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 29, 2009 This is a rating for draft (bottle 1.8). Pours a medium amber color with little head and no lacing. Nice carbonation, descent aroma, and light/medium body. The taste is sweet malt and some hops. Good session beer for the price. tennessejed420 (100), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 26, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours orange gold with foamy white head. Aroma of corn malt, cardboard, metal. Taste is a balance of corn malt and hops with a mild finish. Not as watery as I expected and decent carbonation. This is a very plain beer, but it’s not a bad beer. Compared to most beers of its price, it’s much better; it’s good for when you need some cheap beer to drink alot of. brewski519 (438), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 19, 2009 On tap, pours a dark yellow. Only a thin, dissipating, white head. The aroma is fairly malty with hints of hops and perhaps some unsavory adjunct. The body is clean and fairly refreshing. The flavors are nothing spectacular but did not turn me off either. Also a little hint of citrus (lemon?) to add a little something to this fairly average beer - but if I have to choose between this and some macros such as Bud, Miller or Coors at a run of the mill bar where there isn’t much of a craft beer selection - this one will win out every time. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Pours amber with a medium white head and some impressive lacing for a cheap beer. Light, fruit forward and somewhat skunky aroma. Crisp nose, thin but unoffensive body and a light finish. Flavor is somewhat sour with some fruit, a hint of hops and metal. Has been our house beer for the last 3 years and will remain so. One of the best modestly priced beers for the money and one that has never let me down.
Note: In my experience this beer tastes noticably different from a bottle, poured from a can or on tap. In my opinion, the best taste is when poured from a can. If you dislike Yuengling from a bottle, try it from a can and see if that doesn’t change your opinion.
