Pigfoot (2225), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Apr 14, 2004 Appearance: hazy, light yellow, apparent carbonation, with a lush, lacey and crystaline white head.
Aroma: spicy, dry, somewhat citric, with a touch of honey.
On the tongue, tingly and tasty, smooth and light.
Body is very light, drinkability through-the-roof.
A very nice rendition of the kolsch style with such a vibrant spark that it reminded me of a Belgian golden ale, at times.
A perfect delight!
UnionMade (621), Connecticut, USA Nov 23, 2002 Easily the best Kolsch I’ve ever had. Very fruity, which I found unusual, almost belgian-esque. The thing that impressed me the most was the burnished golden color, cloudy and unfiltered. Much like a good hefeweizen. While not my favorite style, this is going to be my personal choice for summer heat and BBQs. The best light bodied beer I’ve had in a long time.
