dwyerpg (2065), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Aug 2, 2006 Can’t smell much but looks nice. This has a very nice mouthfeel. the alcohol is there but not too eviden t. The head is fairly similar to the beer. The beer sticks nicely to your mouth and the glass. Really a very pleasant and fantastic beer. fishman (349), Philadelphia, USA Sep 8, 2001 Mmmmmm.... Brown with a fleeting head, nice malty aroma and taste. Subtle yeastiness in the finish, with a nice berry (strawberry and raspberry) taste that rises up with each sip, and hints of chocolate as it warms. An instant favorite. Pours dark brown with medium brown head. Sweet aroma with toffee notes, dried fruits and honey. Flavor develops in glass and contains dried fruits, honey and yeast. Very nice surprise. maltydog (14), Brooklyn, New York, USA Sep 19, 2001 Updated: Jul 29, 2004Rich, malty strong dark ale. Honey is an ingredient, and noticable, but not excessive. Very well-balanced. freekyp (796), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA Jul 1, 2005 The first thing I noticed was the overwhelming candy sugar and molasses aroma wafting from this ruby beauty. A slight tan head floats atop the red-hued body. Honey sweetness rises in the finish leaving a slick candy coating on the tongue. Raisiny notes abound and the alchohol is present but not overwhelming. I loved it.
