Aroma is caramel, caramel, caramel, musty, faint hops. Taste is caramel, caramel, caramel/nutty/musty-medium malt, some continental hops. Easy drinking, but not a PA, closer to a faux Oktoberfest, some corn. FishManLA (300), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA

It has a delightful glowing dark-blonde to light-amber color. It’s slightly "bock-y" in it’s wet quenching gulpability yet has a crispy dry finish. Nuffield (2728), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 15, 2006 This has undergone some name changes, and in particular they moved to a label in the bottled version (and now at the restaurant) that reflects its nature as a pale ale. Yet, I would push them one further: at least from the bottle I had, I would call this more of an English pale ale, or at least an East Coast pale ale, than an American (West Coast) pale ale. It was lighter in color than their Vienna-style lager, with a touch of citrus (lemon) to the nose and a rounded caramel body that doesn’t overwhelm the hops by any stretch. Moderate sweetness, good density. A pretty good effort, if you like these kinds of session pale ales. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA

Tiny fast fading head. Nice hop and citrus flavor. Nice mouthfeel. I have to say this stuff tastes almost exactly like Sierra Nevada and that isn’t bad at all. Was by far the best of the beers I had there. Aurelius (2654), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Nothing too remarkable, but a solid brewpub IPA. Moderately sweet, good toffee overtones, lightly tart. Session weight, quick finish. Works with the smoky food.
