I’m not sure exactly what this beer is, but I liked it. On the menu, it was just listed as Zea Bock -- however when I asked the waitress to confirm that it wasn’t a stout, she said that it was actually called ’Notta Bock’. Deep rootbeer red-brown. Coffee, berry and creosote aroma. Clear. As with most beers here, it’s somewhat simple, but very well balanced. Smooth, sweetish, fruity, creosotic, coffeish. FInishes a bit smoky. Very enjoyable. Creamy sweet chickory finish.
