CaptainCougar (4638), Rockville, Maryland, USA Dec 1, 2007 Pours a barely transparent dark mahogany with a small froth of tan head. Aroma of authentic bready Belgian yeast and some lightly roasted dark malts. Body starts a little thinner than expected with a lot of fizzy carbonation, light sweetness and a touch of grassy spices turning more tart and dry toward the tart and roasty finish. Fairly authentic, but I prefer a little less tartness in a saison. bu11zeye (3656), Frisco, Texas, USA Nov 16, 2007 (Draught) Pours a cloudy brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of tobacco, raisins, figs, plums, and spices. Flavor of raisins, herbs, alcohol, and lightly tart in the finish.
