On tap at the brewpub. Very competent stout. Black with lace. Suitable and even understated carbonation. On the tad sweet side, the brews tend to be well malted though not overally, just to make it drinkable as opposed to slow sippers.

On draft at Flatbread, Burlington. Poured opaque black with brown khaki head. Minimal carbonation. Roasty nose. Flavor of roasted malts with hints of coffee and chocolate. Nice offering.

on cask-pours a thin tan head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-chocolate/faint coffee, dark fruit. Taste is semi-sweet dark malt-chocolate/faint coffee, dark fruit, faint hops. OK/mild carbonation.

Verre de dégustation chez American Flatbread (Burlington, VT). Arôme: Odeur de chocolat et de café torréfié. Apparence: La couleur est noire opaque. Présence d’un moyen col beige crémeux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de café torréfié et de chocolat. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est plein avec une texture crémeuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Présence de café en arrière goût. (Rating #447)
