2008-04-24. Murky brown body with a moderate creamy beige head. (3+) Moderate aroma has a tangy fruit layer over top a yeasty core. Light hints at lemon, muted spice. (6+) Similar flavour, muted generic fruit, light yeast and sweet malt. Finish has note of lemon grass, possibly dandelion or coriander. Surprisingly bitter actually despite a moderately sweet base. The bitterness is particularly noticeable in the finish when the alcohol makes a disproportionately overt cameo. (6+) Palate is slightly fuller and average, light by Belgian standards. It has its moments, but on the whole it is just average. Bottle in Christmas in Belgium pack from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo

Pours with a largish, rocky, off-white head covering a deep amber-brown body. Aroma of orange blossom, candi sugar, yeast and lemon. Taste stars slightly sour, then changes to lightly spicey, followed by a burnt malt taste and a slightly nutty and bitter aftertaste. Kind of boring if you ask me. Lively bubbles paired with a dry mouthfeel.

A superior Belgian pale. Pours a big white head, and leaves lots of good lace. A wonderful peachy spicey aroma. Smooth drinking, above average carbonation. On the sweet side, but not sweet.

11.2oz bottle. Murky brown color with a small and steady head. Sweet and bitter at the same time, almost like a bitter Dubbel. This unique taste combination works very well, and the beer is oh-so-drinkable. Not your standard spiced Christmas ale, this one is new-school and hoppy. A great beer from one of Belgiums coolest new breweries.

Poured from 33cl bottle a cloudy amber with medium sized off-white head. Aromas of dark fruit, toast and yeast. Flavor goes from citrusy bitter orange, with a small amount of raisiny and brown sugar sweetness but quickly grows bitter with a tart yeastiness. Palate is slightly spicy and dry but mostly overwhelmed by the bitter notes. I liked the aroma but the flavor was unbalanced with the amount of bitter yeast to sweetness.
