Ober (403), Best, Netherlands Oct 6, 2008 Bottle. A clear, light yellow colored beer, with a white head. The aroma of malts, fruits and a little hops. the taste is malty with fruits like orange and citrus. A little bitter, much to little for a urtyp. The aftertaste is little bitter. Not bad, but in my view not really an urtyp. swooper (99), Kladno, Czech Republic Sep 23, 2008 cereal, grass, golden, clear, aminimal head, medium bitterness, medium body, thin feel, bitter, average lager yespr (6900), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 7, 2008 50 cL bottle, Zipfer Original. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Crips hoppy and slight grassy aroma. Delicate fruity hops in the initial flavour. Light bitterness showing through. Light bitter and fruity finish. Nice one. Doggythedog (1020), Split, Croatia Jul 16, 2008 My RBESG08 journey started, if you look at ratings, at an Austrian gas/rest station with a Zipfer and it finished at another, with another Zipfer. Ogi provided this so thanks to him! From the can, in the car. Heh. Pale golden body. Appley nose, sourish hop, weak malt. Light green apple taste, scant malt. A bit harsh. Hoppy aftertaste. sir_Pino (588), Zawiercie / Żywiec, Poland Jul 12, 2008 No 253

Bottle brown, 660 ml
Appearance: Pours very bright, shiny golden body, urine like, with white, small, foamy head that decreases quickly and mostly to a small cloud floating on the body surface, carbonation is medium, body is clear, no significant lacing at all, body looks thin in its density. there is something floating in the body of the beer like very small fragments of don’t know what it is!!! Like hair from barber’ s dust bin.
Aroma: Milky, malted barley, fresh hops, clean hops, crispy malts, citrusy, lemon, hoppy and carbonated on the top, aroma typical for Premium Lager, a bit dull, soapy, nothing surprising or special.
Flavour: Bitter, fresh hops, quite dry, grainy, noticable barley malts, grapefruit, lemon, accidic, tonguy a bit, clean, flavuor of not sophisticated lager with some traces of Pilsener like flavuor, refreshing, good to dine with, strenghtening your apetite, well balanced, quite nice bitter lager. Finish duration is average.
Palate: Body is light, texture is wattery to dry, carbonation is lively on palate and beer seems accidic, finish feel is chalky, grainy, with mineral, hoppy nose, light alcoholic, an impression of a kind of heavy beer.
