Allen (592), Wölflinswil, Switzerland Aug 14, 2008 Bottled 50cl. It pours a beautiful ruby beer with a diminishing off white head. The nose is of home made caramel, figs, pineapple, tarragon and sorbet accompanied by a slight hint of licorice. Slightly citrusy with some incense showing up. An extremely nice aroma!! The taste is of pineapple, home made caramel, figs and licorice. Rather sweet. Some tarragon sneaking in. Perfectly balanced. Average lacework. Medium bodied. The finish is rather dry with hints of caramel and raisins. Wonderful. janir (162), Oulu, Finland Jul 15, 2008 Color is clear brown. Light beige head is quite thick and lacy. Aroma is mild, sweet malty with a bit of grassy hops. Flavor is metallic, bitter and roasty caramel malty. Aftertaste is sugary and hoppy. Medium-bodied and slightly carbonated palate gunnfryd (2743), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 7, 2008 Bottle. Amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is apple, malt, caramel. Flavour is sweet, malt, caramel, hint of hop. medium body. OK beer. mikkopen (106), Oulu, Finland Jul 5, 2008 500 ml bottle (Zlatopramen Half n’ Half). Clear amber brown, small off-white head. Sweet, malty aroma with some raisins. Mildly roasted malty flavour with some caramel sweetness, and a little hoppy bitterness in the finish. Not bad, but not particularly good, either. yngwie (3529), Kristiansand, Norway Jun 25, 2008 Bottle. It pours a clear, amber body with a small beige head. Malty aroma with caramel, some roasted aromas and a fruityness. Pears and yellow apples I think. Roasted, caramel flavor, lower on fruityness, and with a little bitterness. Medium body. Quite fruity finish, but with a balancing maltyness. Some notes of cellar too. A decent beer but that’s it. (080625)
