Bottle... Clear orange lager with a small, fizzy, off-white head. The nose is of caramel and minerals. Decent balance. Sweet and malty. Caramel and mineral, herbal bitterness. Light to medium-bodied and fizzy. Mildly sweet, almost crisp finish. Thanks to goldtwins for sending the bottle!

Bottle via goldtwins. The beer pours to a glowing red body. A thin lively light beige head sits ontop. The body has lots of slow visible carbonation. The flavor is bready, toasty, light strawberry, floral like, light nuts. The aroma is sweet and bready. Interesting light toastyness and light peppery yeasts. A touch light and difficult to smell at times. The palate is pretty malty, very decent. A drinkable change of pace.

Thanks goldtwins as well. Very middle of the road vienna. Malty, nutty and bready. No hops to speak of. Some yeast. A bit sweet. Nothing else to say. Sometimes I forget that viennas are boring.

12oz BB Oct 2006 - thanks goldtwins - Aroma sweet toasty lager malts. Pours copper with small head and decent lacing. Flavor is pretty much all dry bread tasting malt. Palate is a little sticky and thin. Drinkable, but this isn’t really my style.

via trade with goldtwins - Pours a clear deep amber color with a faint of white head. Has a slightly sweet grainy malt aroma and flavor. A smooth, medium body beer. One of the better Vienna lagers I’ve had. Thanks Larry.

A clean amber pour. An aroma of corn and malt. A rich malty flavor with a slight bitter that I don’t think is hops. A slightly light palate with a little fizz to it but not bad all round.

Crystal clear body and light amber color were the good aspects of the appearance of this newly bottled beer, while the non-existent head and an absence of lacing were not so good. The carbonation was active and steady. The aroma was light and malty and, to my nose at-least, exhibited a cooked corn DMS smell. The taste was better than the smell with a nice interplay between sweet malt and spicy hops. Pretty light on the palette and simple in construction, this Morena is better than the regular Cancun, but not by much.

This just hit the stores in Atlanta in 12oz bottles. I remember liking this beer at the GA Craft Brew Challenge- quite true to style. No head to speak of, clear amber color. Light fizzy carbonation gives a good but slighly thin mouthfeel. Nice malt flavors with just a hint of a hop bite. A very good refreshing summer beer, very drinkable.
