| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 29, 2007 Bottle, thanks to Jay. Poured clear medium orange with a short-lived cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up slightly sour toasted grains, caramel, and some lighter fruits coming through on the back. The flavor had lightly sour medium-skinned fruit skins and caramel at the core with more graininess around the edges and some faint grassy bitterness.. sticky caramel finish picked up a couple odd, prickly booze notes. Lighter-bodied with a slick and rather unpleasant feel on the palate.. sourness shouldn’t have been there.. tacky on the back. Drinkable, but that’s about it. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 16, 2006 Bottle via goldtwins. The beer pours to a glowing red body. A thin lively light beige head sits ontop. The body has lots of slow visible carbonation. The flavor is bready, toasty, light strawberry, floral like, light nuts. The aroma is sweet and bready. Interesting light toastyness and light peppery yeasts. A touch light and difficult to smell at times. The palate is pretty malty, very decent. A drinkable change of pace.
