I was excited to find out exactly what style this was listed as, because I couldnt place it to much other than a poor example of a Mexican adjunct lager. It had a pale yellow body, slightly ameliorated by some light orange hues. Disipating head. Clear. Aroma of DMS, quite unmistakeable (old veggies, butterscotch, kind of like candied yams and sweet potatoes). Sour corn, which I find it hard to believe this is not brewed with, despite the commercial descriptions claim of all malt. My notes do speak of hops on the end, so I will give them that one. Just a touch of herbal, grassy bitterness. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not here to trash Mexican corn lagers, I love Modelo Especial, but this one just didnt cut it. DMS aroma, sour corn flavor, horribly watery texture. This kicked off what would be a long streak of terrible beer in TN. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Apr 10, 2005 From the bottle this pours very light golden, perfectly transparent, with a thin fast falling white head. Aroma of corn, faint malts, and no hops. Taste was thin and clean with a slightly slimey mouthfeel. At least there wasn’t much skunked flavor in this. Suttree (2742), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
