Quack-Duck (1698), Bodensee, Germany Feb 14, 2008 bottle. Clear pale golden yellow. Hoppy nose. Quite malty and grainy with aromatic hops. Well-balanced South-German Pilsener. MoritzF (3690), Ruhrpott, Germany Jan 20, 2008 (bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a mid-sized Pilsener-blond foamy head. Moderately sweet and soft grainy malt aroma with a touch of sour dough and traces of lemon and hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crispy carbonation. Malt-accented, slightly grainy, minimal fruity and chalky taste; slightly bitter and herbal hoppy finish. Decent Pilsener. Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 2, 2006 A light yellow beer with a lazing white head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet malty. Plain. EithCubes (1802), Indiana, USA Feb 27, 2006 Draught in Schömberg. Golden pour, carbonated and crsip, medium-release white head. Bit of grass, but not much. Surprisingly little bitterness for a Pils, and the malt here is king - a bit sweet for a Pilsner, really. Let’s call it "floral." Still, not bad. "Soft and pleasant" is right on, Papsoe. fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Oct 12, 2005 Blond color. Light malt and cereals aroma. Ordinary taste, some malt, balanced.
