downender (1618), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Oct 10, 2008 Bottle at Zeitgeist, Lambeth 10/10/08. Deep, slightly cloudy amber with a moderate, short-lived white head. Sweet caramel, red fruit and spice aroma. Flavour was also sweet, with a hint of spice, peppery hops and short, dry finish. Different and enjoyable. wyzzywyz22 (387), Wirral, Merseyside, England Oct 6, 2008 Bottle, Carringtons, Manchester.
Poured a dark amber colour with a vanishing off white head. Some vague sweet malt was happening , but really not much else. Watery, hints of rotting veg. Should have left this one in the cellar. Tedious. diabel (1210), Aarschot, Belgium Sep 25, 2008 At Bruxellensis 2008, Brussels, Belgium Clear amber body with a white head. Aroma of hops and a bit caramel. Lightly bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Nice, but not great. Good balance, but lacks some complexity. thebeertourist (1898), Oslo, Norway Sep 20, 2008 From bottle at Bruxellensis 2008. Hazy amber with a persistent head. Fruity hop aroma. Hints of tart fruit, well-hopped. Body is on the light side. Drinkable. darkseduction (121), Zweibrücken, Germany Jun 26, 2008 Bottle 50cl. Pours a clear filtered, amber-coloured brew with a big-bubbled head. Fizzy carbonation, refreshing, notes of wood, fruits, dark malts, tobacco, high fermentation acids. Interesting brew, worth a try.
