This is not a good brew - it smells bad, and it tastes even worse. One of only a handful of beers I refused to finish. I had medium expectations of this beer because of the porter by its namesake. But do not be falsely led on...this is a cheap adjunct lager.

(500 ml bottle: $1.69 at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, CA) LMAO. The beer isn’t very good, but this "Beer Thermometer" on the back label is a fricking riot! Now, what we really need in this industry is a "Beer Quality" indicator on back labels, and it only shows the logo if the beer is worth drinking. Undoubtedly, no such logo would ever appear on the label of this pale lager. It’s not even that good compared to some other Eastern European lagers available for purchase in SoCal. This one just tastes like cheap lager, with only a moderate grain/corn flavor and some spicy hops, neither of which have enough presence to help this beer. The nose is somewhat mild, but still smells like a cheap lager. Fairly light in body, but not totally watery like a light beer. Clear in appearance and medium golden in color. Whitish head is average all around, pouring to half an inch in height, settling to a thin rim, and leaving a few patches of lace on the glass. I’m part Polish, and I so really want to like this beer, but I just can’t betray my Polish integrity. This is not a good beer.

Once of the beers from Europe that I couldn’t remember how to spell. Germany I believe. Average lager, a little better then most

Just another lager. Not too bad, not too good. Grainy and a little bitter kickoff. Had it straight from the can and that’s what its supposed to be as a beer I guess.

A solid grainy, natural beer. A good quaffer. Sweet and grainy. Plenty of grip but probably a little too sweet.

Pale gold with good head, nice pour. Slight bit of hops, but a real sweetness like a sweet white wine. I did not enjoy this brew.

Bottle. Vegetable malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Slight sweet vegetable malt flavor - mild hops flavor. Not bad for a European lager.

500ml bottle with a "beer thermometer" on the lable. Pours clear golden yellow with a smallish short lived pale head. light carbonation. grainy malt aroma, with some mildly floral hop aromas in the background. Flavor is malt, ceral grains, light hops. slightly hoppy finish. Not as good as the porter, but not too bad. average
