This one is still a best seller, more through quantity, than quality. Tasted from the 500ml ’stubby’, in a stein glass. Poured a brilliant pale gold, with effervescence forming a big fluffy white head, that grew up out the glass. Grainy aroma, sweet malt, flaked maize and grits (no hop notes). Palate was very dry with a bitter hop swallow. Barnyard grains throughout, mildly sweet upfront, mineral water softness and a little (only a little!) hop leafiness. Stock standard lager overall, I just hope their Porters are better! Lubiere (4549), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Sweetish malt with light german style hops and mineral chalky notes in finish.Oily mouthfeel. Typical EE lager. maupie (622), Roosendaal, Netherlands
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 27, 2005 This beer has a gold/yellow body - hue apperance and a coarse white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had a lot of carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is moutig. maeib (4762), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 10, 2005 Bottled. An unappealing green/light gold coloured lager with a sweet lager aroma. The taste is better with nice malty notes and a refreshing tasty drinkable character. An Ok lager to drink with the eyes and nose shut. Fiilen (12), Risskov, Denmark
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 10, 2005 Tasted the beer from a can(poured to glass of course). This did not do anything for the beer. ok colour, sad head. the aroma was a bit promesing but the taste could not match. Stew41 (1054), Caulfield, Australia
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 5, 2005 Very text book pale larger in the glass and on the nose. Not offensive but not great either.
Palate is broadly as expected although a little more malt driven than I would have expected, and this gives the beer a little more character than one would typically equate with the style. Has an ok finish which penetrates quite well. Good enough. tbookman (618), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 31, 2004 Pale straw color - faint aroma of grain. Clean, but little character. Nothing distinctive but not totally offensive with adjuncts. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | Dec 30, 2004 Lightly Skunky Aroma. Bad Hops and Grains. Pretty Watery and Skunky,...Something Else There, but Skunky-ness Blocks Out Any Possibility of Goodness. However, Easier to Down Then alot of Swill. Worth Trying I suppose.
