500 ml bottle. More like an imperial stout than a porter... this one packs a punch. Especially at 9.5% abv.... but it doesn’t overtake the beer. There is a slight alcohol presence in the aftertaste... but it’s nice and sweet. Aromas of molasses, roasted malts and liqourice. Very complex for a porter... Robust body and a delightful aftertaste. Truly a wonderful beer that I would drink again.

Bottle sampled. Pours dark with a decent size tan head. Aroma of caramel, roast, chocolate, and dark fruit. The flavor is smooth for 9.5%, sweet, caramel, roast, chocolate, fruit, and finishes mildly bitter. Very nice!

0.5l bottle. Poured almost black with a nice off-white head and some lacing. Burnt malts with toffee, coffee, chocolate notes. Not real complex, but well balanced. Not a true porter, but my kind of beer, yum....

Dark black brown with thinner head with some lacing. Strong toffee carmel malts are present, as well as raisins, smoke and a light hoppy twinge. The flavor itself is full bodied, toasted chocolate, with a carmel-smoked woody touch. There is a moderate hoppy kick which is pleasing and serves to provide balance and depth to the beer. Considering the high abv, the alcohol presence is small, and reduced to a light warming factor. Overall a very nice, well constructed porter.

Bottle 0.33L. Dark brown (almost black) body with an average, frothy, brown head, mostly diminishing with a fair lacing. Moderate-to-heavy malty aroma (toasted, nuts, dark bitter chocolate and dark coffee) with a light hoppy character. Notes of raisins, toffee and light-to-moderate alcohol. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate-to-heavy bitter; the long-lasting finish is heavy bitter with a light sweet note. Medium body with an oily-creamy texture; flat carbonation; light alcoholic and metallic feelings in the finish. A complex beer; very satisfactory; surprisingly, the alcoholic note is quite moderate.

Wow. Brown, nearly black pour, with a squatty brown head that quickly dissipates. Rich aroma of coffee, roasted malt, licorice, and alcohol. Dense, roasted malt up front with cocoa and cognac flavors. Moves into cream, coffee and anise, which is swept up with an alcohol warmer.
